High School Art: 9th Grade -12th Grade Seeing students through the high school years is an amazing experience. The growth and maturity that takes place from one's freshman to senior year is like none other. Given that students enter high school trying to tackle the "real world," I find that the opportunity to help them through this transition is invaluable. Through art, students can reflect upon who they are, who they want to be, and learn how to speak through their artwork. In my Art curriculum, I emphasize critical thinking and analysis so that students can apply these higher order thinking skills not only to their art, but also to their daily lives.
